Preparation
When requested, our team will assign a username to an approved representative of an organization that is actively completing a request or report. To activate your username, follow the instructions you will receive in an email from our team.
Your username is the same as your email address.
You will set your password then will be able to log in to our portal at https://maclellan.net/portal.
We request detailed information about your organization and its leadership, your project, financials, and objectives. For specifics, we invite you to visit the portal or download our fillable worksheet.
The fillable worksheet is designed to help accommodate grant seekers who prefer to prepare their submission outside of the portal. The worksheet is for preparation purposes only, as the data must be transferred to the portal for consideration.
When filling out your application, you will asked to provide the following attachments for your organization using the required templates below.
If you are applying as a Fiscal Sponsor or Subsidiary, please see the Fiscal Sponsorship information to learn which additional attachments you will need.

If your organization uses a different currency, include a column showing USD equivalents. If you are requesting a general operating grant rather than a project-based grant, please upload a one-page general operating budget for your current fiscal year. Click the Project Budget button to download the required template.

Most organizations will not apply as Fiscal Sponsors or Subsidiaries.
A Fiscal Sponsor works in cooperation with another organization, often a start-up or international organization, to apply directly on behalf of the shared project. A Subsidiary is a legally recognized subordinate of a Parent Organization. If you need to learn more about each one, click on the buttons below.

Process
After you submit your request, it will go through a series of reviews, during which time we may contact you with questions.
You will be notified when an official determination has been made. If you are awarded a grant, we will provide you with further details.
The time it can take to receive a final determination can vary greatly and is dependent on several factors: the completeness of your request, the program staff’s satisfaction with your project, and the time it takes to reach a final decision. For complete proposals with minimal questions, we estimate an approximate time frame of two months to receive an official determination. For proposals with significant questions, the timeframe can be longer.
The typical time frame for payments is 4-6 weeks after an official notification of the grant approval has been sent. For certain grants with special requirements such as matching, this time frame will vary.
You may only begin a new request if you received an invitation to apply via email. New requests cannot be started directly from within the Grants Portal or via any other location on our website.
To start a new request, click on the link to apply that you received in your email. This direct link is designed to be used only once and will create a new request. Once you provide your project country and hit “Save” you will be able to log in at a future date, and edit the request. Once you are done uploading your information, submit your proposal so that we can begin our review.

Approximately one year after a grant award, or upon completion of the project if earlier, grantees must submit a Post Grant Report via the grants portal. The Post Grant Report is designed for an organization to report on the use of the funds and how the project’s previously established objectives were met. Please download our Post Grant Report worksheet to assist you in preparing for your report.

For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome when accessing Salesforce Experience Portals. Chrome offers the highest compatibility, ensuring that pages load smoothly and interactive features work as intended. Other modern browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based), and Apple Safari are also supported, though occasional visual or performance inconsistencies may occur.
To ensure full functionality, make sure JavaScript is enabled, cookies are allowed, and any pop-up blockers or ad-blocking extensions are either disabled or configured to allow Salesforce domains. Using a private or incognito browsing session may also limit some features, so it’s best to use a standard browser window when accessing the portal.
If you encounter any technical questions that cannot be resolved with the suggestions in the FAQ’s, please contact us here with a detailed description of your problem and what measures you have taken to resolve it.
