The Robert L. and Kathrina H. Maclellan Foundation
Our Mission
To advance Christ's Kingdom throughout the local community.
Our History
Incorporated in February of 1972 by Mrs. Robert Llewellyn Maclellan, the Robert L. and Kathrina H. Maclellan Foundation seeks to fulfill Robert's wish that his estate be used "for the benefit of our community and the needs of its people." The foundation supports the church as it expands by word and deed to provide the blessings of shalom. Focused primarily on the Greater Chattanooga area, the foundation supports evangelical Christian ministries with an emphasis on youth, family, education, leadership, and redemption.
Values
We believe in the call of the local community to advance Christ's Kingdom. For the love of God to move throughout the world, local communities must develop and empower their youth, families, local leaders, and educators.
We stand on the power of prayer and scripture. We want every individual in every community to experience a rich, vibrant, hard-won prayer life. We believe these prayers should arise out of immersion in the Scripture.
Areas of Focus
Youth
Our focus, the local community, is in constant renewal as the youth prepare to lead our culture forward. We seek to serve them first, as they are pivotal to our mission.
Family
For our communities to flourish, we must dedicate time, expertise, and resources to the development and empowerment of the local family.
Leadership
Strong local communities are not built without strong individual leaders. To develop the many, we must start with the few.
